In this photo, I am wearing what I call “The Golden Gown.” In my book, you will find a chapter about the miracles of who made it, who preserved it, how it came to me and how it fits the new Christine.
Born to a single mother, I had questions about my biological father that I knew not to ask. Instead, I stuffed them—and I stuffed myself too. Although I crafted what appeared to be a perfect life, secret shame festered inside.
After a family counselor told me, “You are half a puzzle,” I began to ask questions, change my thinking, and take the healing journey to find missing puzzle pieces, reframe hurtful experiences and create a more fulfilling life. In the process, I found new family and learned about my true Father—the one who really matters.
Home is wherever I am. My husband Dave and I winter in Palm Desert, CA, where I am a prayer practitioner and enjoy writing, golf, hiking, biking and helping others recognize and ignite their inner light. The rest of the year, home is where we park our motorhome, enjoying the beauty of our world and the blessings of family and friends.
